Charbridge Lane will be closed from 17 October to 17 December between the Launton roundabout and Gavray Drive for EWR works.

However, access will be maintained at the southern end from the Rodney House roundabout to the Langford Village entrances and to the businesses / frontages beyond Gavray Drive as far as Charbridge Way.

Due to the extensive nature of the construction works required, the road will be fully closed to road users, cyclists, and pedestrians for the entire duration of the closure.

An approved diversionary route will be in place.   Unfortunately, in order to preserve safety in Launton, and to accommodate all traffic (including HGVs) this route is via the A41, M40 (to J10), A43, the A421 and the A4421 – see the map below.  The red line shows the section that will be closed and the blue dashed line highlights the signed diversion route.

Please note that when Charbridge Lane reopens, the traffic flow will be switched onto the new bridge structure from the north with a temporary alignment still to the south and work will begin to complete road approach from the south in order to put the road into its final alignment.
