The Department for Communities and Local Government (as it was at the time) issued a transparency code that requires Parish Councils with a turnover of less than £25,000 to make available certain documents annually for the public to inspect. While Launton Parish Council has a turnover greater than £25,000 and is therefore subject to external audit, it is good practice to follow the same guidance.
The draft Budget and Precept for the forthcoming financial year are always discussed at the January Parish Council meeting with the papers available in the appropriate year’s discussion.
